SEO for Small Businesses: How to compete with big brands online

Hi everyone, and welcome back to what is now Blog number 7!!😆😆

Thanks to everyone that has kept with me from the beginning and a hearty welcome to any newcomers!!👋💓

Once again, it all comes back to business and today I will briefly be discussing SEO in small businesses and how it can help to compete bigger corporations online.

Firstly, SEO stands for Search Engine Optimisation and over the years this system has had huge benefits for smaller companies trying to compete with their much bigger counterparts online.

When these small businesses invest in SEO, automatically more people will be able to discover them online, leading to the potential following advantages:

  • Obviously, it brings in more customers.
  • Helps to build your brand awareness
  • Beating your competitors
When optimising their new websites, these companies must focus their attention to Google. Without a doubt, Google has the biggest market share in terms of search engines. If people can find your business through Google, already you are putting your business at a clear advantage to your competitors.

Of course, the main problem for businesses of this size is of course the cost!!😟😟

Some businesses may be thinking is worth taking the risk and putting in the time, but I think if you have the capital I think it is a no brainer and it will help to bring your business further into the 21st Century!!

If these businesses want to remain relevant and in contention with their larger counterparts, once again if you've got the money..... go for it!!😆😆

As always, I hope you might gain something from this, especially if any of you are budding entrepreneurs preparing to launch your brand!! If any of you are, I have attached a link below to an article written by Adam Steele explaining this topic in more detail. Best of luck and I hope this helped in some way.

As always, take care and mind yourselves!!👋👋💓
